About our Giving Clubs

For members of The Societies who have special interest in a program area, our Giving Clubs offer opportunities to engage with a museum’s research, collections, and educational programs, through tours, receptions and other special events.

1788 Club
Named for the founding date of the City of Cincinnati, this club supports Cincinnati History Museum and Cincinnati Historical Library programs related to the collection, preservation, and presentation of the history of our region and its people.

Hopewell Council
Named after the 2,000 year-old Hopewell culture, this club supports Museum of Natural History & Science education and environmental awareness programs, global scientific research, and collection preservation.

Treehouse Club
This club supports research and programs at the Duke Energy Children’s Museum that enhance the lives of children through play.

Grandparents Club Saturdays
One Saturday a month, beginning May 12, 2012, Cincinnati Museum Center will open one hour earlier for Grandparents Club members. This exclusive time offers a relaxed and fun opportunity for families to experience the Duke Energy Children’s Museum, Museum of Natural History & Science and Cincinnati History Museum before they open to the general public.

Grandparents Club Discovery Luncheon: Saturday, August 4, 11 a.m.
This annual celebration is a special gathering where members of the Grandparents Club and their grandchildren will meet at Cincinnati Museum Center for a fun luncheon to officially launch the Grandparents Club. Members who have joined during the first year of the Grandparents Club will be considered Founding Members and will be recognized. Grandchildren will enjoy making their own “artifacts” including the creation of hand printed and signed tiles for display in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum.

The Grandparents Club was announced at our recent Pancakes with Santa event on December 10. Thanks to everyone who attended!
