Sprouts Institute

These interactive family workshops are designed for infants to 6-year-olds! Our panel of Early Childhood Consultants provide an enriching experience for the whole family. Check back often to find out about schedule updates. All programs are 45 minutes in length.
Sprouts Institute workshops are $5 per child, per session for members; $7 per child, per session for non-members. Museum admission is not included in the workshop fee. For more information or to make reservations, call (513) 287-7021. NOTE: Starting February 2012, Sprouts Institute workshops will begin at 10:15 a.m. instead of 10 a.m.
Music and Movement
Discover the magic of music together! Children, along with a parent or caregiver, are invited to sing, dance, chant and play instruments in an informal setting. Eliana Corredor, a registered Music Together teacher, leads this workshop. Designed for ages birth to 5 years old.

Signing Safari
Have fun with your infant or toddler in this sign language program that is entertaining to learn, easy to implement, and helps to reduce stress during early childhood years. Jeanne Bloemer, a certified Child Sign Language Specialist, leads this workshop. Designed for ages 9 months to 3 years old.

Songs and Stories
It's never too early for story time! Bring your baby for a fun research-based literacy development program with different books, songs and finger-plays each month. Amy Schardein, who has a B.A. in Elementary Education and M.L.S. in Library Science, leads this workshop. Designed for ages birth to 3 years.

Yoga experienced through the imagination of a child! Children will learn poses to increase balance, flexibility, coordination, strength and calming techniques through fun stories, songs and games. We will roar like lions, stand tall like trees, jump like frogs, twinkle like stars and much more! Designed for children ages 3-6 years old.
