A Cultural Experience
Ages 3-Kindergarten (History, Sociology, Geography)
Children use music, toys, colorful clothing, and role playing to explore cultures from Peru, Japan, and Mali.
3…2…1… Blast Off!
Ages 4-Kindergarten (Earth Science, Space Science)
Build the solar system in your classroom, and then leave Earth behind as young astronauts blast off with radio controlled space shuttles to explore what’s beyond our own planet. View photographs and learn about gravity, asteroids, orbits, and more. From the sun and the moon to the stars far beyond it will be a truly “space-ial” experience. Requires a large open area for the presentation.
Coral: A Colorful Community
Ages 4-Kindergarten (Earth Science, Life Science)
Children learn what coral is, where it lives, what it eats and how it protects itself. Explore different types of real coral skeletons, experience how a coral polyp feels and view pictures of some of the creatures that live in a coral reef. Using beautiful puppets, everyone can participate in making a coral reef habitat come to life. Program can be adapted for children up to 3rd grade. Call for details.
Dino Dig
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Earth Science)
Dig up dinosaur fossils and discover their owners’ true identities! Learn about different kinds of dinosaurs, what they looked like, what they ate and how they protected themselves. A variety of activities allow you to growl, claw and walk like a dinosaur. Requires a large open area for the presentation.
"Egg"-cellent Eggs
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Life Science)
Explore an egg-citing variety of birds’ eggs and learn about their different shapes, sizes, colors and nests where they are found. Learn about whom else lays eggs, and crack one open to find out what’s inside! This program includes hands-on activities that are full of egg-citement!
From the Backyard to the Barnyard
Ages 3-Preschool (Earth Science, Life Science)
Using puppets, investigate a variety of animals that can live in either a backyard or barnyard habitat. Visit with a live animal friend who can be a city or country dweller. Investigate what this animal eats and how it finds food by echolocation.
How Does Your Garden Grow?
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Earth Science, Life Science)
What does a plant look like? What does it need to grow? By the end of this program, little ones will know. After learning about the parts of a plant, the plant life cycle, and the difference between fruits and vegetables, spend some time digging in the dirt, and plant your very own seed to take home. Requires a large open area for the presentation.
Our Five Senses
Ages 3-Preschool (Life Science)
It takes a nose to know, or maybe hands, ears, eyes, or a tongue! Little ones explore the magic of their senses through fun, hands-on activities. A live animal is a touchable finale to this sense-sational program.
Snug as a Bug
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Life Science)
Participants “build a bug” as they study insects. Learn about the life cycle of a caterpillar as it transforms into a butterfly. Play a game of hide and seek with a very hungry frog as we explore how insects protect themselves. Meet and touch some live insects then look at some incredible, mounted bugs from around the world.
Stuffee, the Amazing Anatomy Doll
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Life Science)
Meet Stuffee, a seven-foot-tall, blue-haired, smiling doll that unzips and Mr. Bones, a life-size human skeleton. Together they help show children what’s inside all of us. Get an opportunity to feed Stuffee lunch and use stethoscopes to listen to our own beating hearts.
Tall Tails
Ages 3-Preschool (Life Science)
Wiggle, waggle, hop, and prop as children learn about animal adaptations. Try on larger-than-life costumed tails and “become” that animal. Hear a Native American story about two unique local animals that have a tall tale to tell.
Wild About Animals
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Earth Science, Life Science)
From Africa to Antarctica, children become part of the wild animal kingdom. Safari through Africa, “viewing” zebras, lions, and more through binoculars. Waddle like a penguin in the coldest place on Earth. Then, hop on over to a continent with some rather unusual down-under residents.
Wonders of Weather
Ages 3-Kindergarten (Earth Science, Life Science)
Explore weather phenomena with fun, hands-on activities. Investigate seasonal weather patterns. Complete the water cycle, make some snow, race clouds, have a hair-raising experience with lightning, and take home jewelry with “magic” sun-sensing abilities!
