Welcome to Kids' Town!
Children take charge in this kid-sized neighborhood. They can explore our Kroger grocery store, veterinary clinic, diner, post office and more. Each stop on their trip through town provides opportunities for children to imagine and try out adult roles. Checking a dog's temperature, viewing an x-ray of a cat, shopping, cooking, serving up food at a diner or putting a baby to bed are just a sampling of the opportunities this exhibit offers.
Visit our new Banfield Pet Hospital!
Cincinnati Museum Center has partnered with Banfield Pet Hospital, the nation's largest general veterinary practice, to create an exhibit celebrating the health and wellness of our four-legged family members. The new Banfield Pet Hospital, which opened on April 21, features a reception area, exam tables, a grooming station, kennels and real veterinary tools. In the exhibit, children and their parents are able to check vital signs of pets (stuffed animals), review X-rays, weigh pets and scan them for microchips.
As part of Banfield Pet Hospital's Future Vet® program, real veterinarians will visit the exhibit four times annually to teach children what it means to be a responsible pet owner and what doctors look for when they examine your pets. Children will receive a Future Vet® program diploma, a stethoscope and a goody bag during "graduation." Mark your calendars for April 21, June 16, September 1 and December 8, 2012 for these special visits!
